Published priorities for Toronto-Danforth
Denise’s published platform focuses on the following eight priorities:
- Affordability and responsible spending. Clear budget answers, responsible spending and City services that deliver value.
- Housing people can afford. More affordable homes, tenant protection and development that benefits existing communities.
- Safer streets and better ways to move. Reliable transit, safer connections and protection for pedestrians and cyclists.
- Helping seniors live safely and independently. Transportation, recreation, food, health supports and City services that help seniors remain active and safely housed.
- Creating opportunities for young people. Recreation, employment, skills training and mentorship that last beyond short-term funding.
- Supporting local businesses. Simpler permits, better construction communication and fair protection from disruption.
- Protecting waterfront and green spaces. Public waterfront access, parks, trees, natural areas and stronger flood protection.
- Community safety and everyday services. Safer public spaces, youth support and practical action on everyday concerns.
